Plus, the desert isn't always red! Also, the buildings all pretty much look alike. How about jojoba? I know they couldn't put in all the kinds of cacti there are but a joshua tree and different colors of one kind of cactus doesn't do it for me. Barrel cactus, saguaro, sage brush, tumbleweeds and more. We got some new cacti, and that's good, but they sure left out a lot as well. Right now we have a choice of two kinds of casinos, one isn't really a gambling establishment but it works ok. Not just one casino, but one after the other after the other, each one different and each one trying to outdo the other with outrageous designs and things they offer for you to do. If you took the tourists away you'd still have a really active place to live. There is always something going on and there is quite a large population of folks who just live there, then there are the tons of tourists. Vegas is very vibrant and active day and night. If it was supposed to be similar to a Las Vegas type town, it failed.
Once you load it up with venues there is a bit more to it but there just aren't enough people to make it really interesting and vital. What does it have to offer besides a cool fountain and a good back story? Not much in my opinion.
